Bucks lose beloved player to injury
On Monday night, Bobby Portis of the Milwaukee Bucks left a game against the Detroit Pistons after another player fell on his leg.
After that game, it was determined that Portis would be permanently out of Wednesday’s game against the Denver Nuggets as he was being evaluated.

It has now been determined that Portis suffered an MCL sprain in his right knee and will be out “indefinitely”.
It’s not the update the Bucks wanted, especially considering the season the forward has had.
He’s averaging 14.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game on a 50/34/83 percent stat line.
He also had the most rebounds off the bench and the most double-doubles off the bench this year.
Portis is actually just one of 14 players in the league who averages a double-double every night.
Losing Portis is obviously bad news, especially since the Bucks don’t know when he’ll be back.
However, he is fortunately the only missing piece within the team at the moment.
Giannis Antetokounmpo and Brook Lopez are healthy and Khris Middleton is back, although he is still adjusting to his return to the ground.
So thankfully the Bucks have a solid roster in place.
But without Portis, the rest of the team will have to play really hard if they want to make it back to the NBA Finals and win another ring.
This has always been the goal of Antetokounmpo and his team.
It was a big challenge at the start, but it will be even more difficult without Portis.
Milwaukee is currently third in the East, battling hard with the Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers, Brooklyn Nets and others for conference supremacy.
