California driver crashes into wall in Pasadena swimming pool with 3 people inside, including a child

Amid torrential rains and winds battering Southern California, a Tesla with three people inside, including a child, crashed into a Pasadena swimming pool.

According to the Pasadena Fire Department, it happened in the backyard of a home on the 700 block of West California Boulevard near South Grand Avenue and La Loma Road.

The department tweeted that the Tesla driver mistakenly pressed the accelerator instead of the brake, drove through a wall and then entered the pool. The car contained two adults and a child.

“Good Samaritans jumped into pool and rescued occupants,” the department tweeted. Pasadena City Manager Public Information Officer Lisa Derderian told Fox News Digital that “two staff members from a preschool next to the residence rescued the occupants of the car – two adults and a 4-year-old child.
