Callahan County man charged with assaulting woman, family say she was found naked and doused in gasoline

CALLAHAN COUNTY, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – A man accused of assaulting a woman in Callahan County, who family members say was found naked and doused in gasoline, has been arrested.

Mack Anthony Henson was taken into custody on Sunday for aggravated assault – deadly weapon and unlawful restraint: exposure to grievous bodily harm in connection with the allegations.

The Callahan County Sheriff’s Office said law enforcement was called to a home near CR 119 just after midnight because someone reported a man knocking on their door.

When officers arrived, the sheriff’s office says they found a woman on the nearby road who was naked and appeared badly beaten.

The woman’s family members told KTAB and KRBC that not only was she naked, but she was barefoot and wrapped in a shower curtain, doused in gasoline, and beaten so badly that her eyes were swollen and that she had other traumatic injuries.

These family members say the victim was tied up with duct tape and restrained against his will before escaping and running as far as he could without stopping, eventually colliding with the forces of the order.
