Eminem’s manager feared the rapper might suffer brain damage
Eminem recently sat down with his manager, Paul Rosenberg for an episode on his podcast Paul Pod which was released on September 8th Thursday.
During the interview, the rap star got candid about his battle with addiction that nearly caused him brain damage.
He said, ‘It took a long time for my brain to start working again.’
Additionally, Rosenberg mentioned how he was concerned that Eminem might not survive his 2007 overdose.
He claimed, ‘I mean, you were literally coming off an overdose and they had to sort of stabilize you with a few drugs. And some of them took you a minute to adjust to – let’s leave it at that.’
Rosenberg then asked, ‘So you’re relearning to rap, almost literally, right? Because it’s the first time you’ve been creating without substances in your body in many years, right?’
In addition, Slim Shady said that Rosenberg was worried that the rapper might have brain damage.
He recalled, ‘I didn’t ask the doctors – when I started rapping again and sent you – I didn’t say, “I just want to make sure he doesn’t have brain damage.”‘
Rosenberg replied, ‘I thought you might have some permanent problems. Yes, I was concerned, of course.’
He added, “I was so glad you weren’t brain damaged… permanently disabled from ever rapping again.”
