“Everything Everywhere All At Once” and “In the West, nothing new” award-winning

Actors Jamie Lee Curtis and Ke Huy Quan won the Oscars for best supporting actor in their respective categories on Sunday for their performance in the crazy comedy “Everything Everywhere All At Once”. “In the West, nothing new” won, among other things, the Oscar for best international film.

The 95th Oscars ceremony opened on Sunday March 12 with a flight over Hollywood, a nod to Tom Cruise’s “Top Gun”. But it’s another film that has won a wave of statuettes.

An Oscar for the pacifist film “In the West, nothing new”

Produced by Netflix, the German adaptation of “In the West, nothing new”, novelist Erich Maria Remarque’s pacifist masterpiece on the horrors of the First World War, was crowned best international film. The feature film outperformed its competitors “Argentina 1985”, “Close”, “EO” and “The Quiet Girl”.

The film also received Oscars for Best Original Score, Set Design and Cinematography.
