Hervé back with a piece on his Breton roots, and a “much more personal” album
1 “A much more personal album”
Three years after “Hyper”, Hervé (31) recorded “Interior Vie”, a second album with a background of electro and French song which will be released on March 24
. “It’s a much more personal album in the lyrics, confesses the singer, from Plougasnou (29). But, it’s hard to explain why it’s more personal. When I lock myself up to record a record, I have cravings that I can’t control. I didn’t ask myself any questions and I did it naturally. I never ask myself questions and the day I ask myself questions, I will stop the music”. After the success of “Hyper”, a Victoire de la Musique (Male Revelation in 2021) and a marathon tour, Hervé admits that he had not imagined such an entrance on the scene. “It’s a joy to live that. It’s a dream,” he rejoices.
2 “A Way To Say Where I’m From”
Since Friday, we can see the clip of the first title of Hervé’s new album. Against a background of electro pop and entitled “Where I come from”, this tune immerses us in its Breton and family roots. “A friend once told me that it would be amazing if I told a third of a quarter of my story. I had never thought about it, perhaps out of modesty or a lack of confidence. I found it interesting to do it because it is important to know where you come from”.
3 Tribute to his family

4 “An album that will surprise”
“After” Where I come from “, the rest of the album is likely to surprise vocally but also in terms of the texts, announces the singer. I worked a lot on the voice and I mixed a lot of different musical genres. There’s always electronic music and I haven’t strayed far from my first album. I hope it will surprise in a good way. The album was recorded in Ariège and in a small house in Morbihan. The singer also regularly returns to Brittany. “That’s where my whole family lives. It is a fabulous land where there is a strong identity and an immense openness to others. It is also a special region where there are no toll highways. »
5 “Awesome Orelsan”
“I listen to everything that comes out, but especially English, French and American rap,” says the Plouganiste. The last concert he attended was that of Orelsan. “It was crazy, incredible, musically and visually,” exclaims Hervé. He is by far the most complete artist of his generation. I find him brilliant, humble and not at all arrogant”.
