Garry quickly got back to his feet and resumed the fight before impressively stopping his opponent with strikes in the final minute of their welterweight bout.

The 25-year-old celebrated his win that earned Conor McGregor praise by doing the billionaire leg before heading backstage and almost finding himself in another fight.

Footage has emerged online of a random bystander threatening the Irishman who was with his wife, Layla Machado Garry, their baby and several other people on his team.

Garry explained on The MMA Hour: “I just hear this guy screaming, yelling, passing like where all the cars were and he’s like, ‘Bro, this is the easiest fucking 50k I’ve had. never done in my life. I’m genius.

“He just screams and screams. I don’t know if he had lost his face or what he was doing. But then he just pushed me around. And I just turned to him and I was like, ‘Hey, relax.’

“And he turns around and says, ‘Or what?’ I just start laughing and look at him like, ‘Sorry?’ And he’s like, ‘Or what? I’m a fighter, I do this shit. You don’t want this smoke.

Garry has never been in a street fight but was about to hit the stranger who was unnecessarily extremely aggressive with his young family.

He added, “I’ve never been in a fight outside of the Octagon because I’m too smart. But it took everything in me, with the way he looked at me, not to take it out on him.

“It was like he wanted to kill me with the way he was looking at me and I was like, ‘I’m going to knock you unconscious if you step forward. One step forward or say one more word, I am going to kill you.

The showdown ended with no punches thrown and Garry is now enjoying a well deserved rest before heading back to camp for his next fight.

During his post-fight interview, the former Cage Warriors welterweight champion asked to fight at UFC 287 which takes place in Miami on April 9.

Garry is also hoping to fight on the undercard when McGregor makes his highly anticipated fight return against Michael Chandler later this year.
