More on Johnny Depp’s MTV VMAs appearance
Johnny Depp hasn’t appeared at the VMAs since 2012 when he took home the Generation Award.
The 59-year-old star has won five moonmen statues during his career. It included awards for Best Male Performance, Best Villain, and Global Superstar.
Depp was reportedly ‘really excited’ for his ‘comeback’ at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards.
His appearance comes months after the end of his tumultuous and controversial defamation case against his ex-wife Amber Heard.
Depp sued the Aquaman actress over a piece she wrote in 2018 alleging she was a survivor of domestic abuse.
The case dragged on throughout the summer. But in the end the jury decided to vote against the 36-year-old star.
