LeBron James celebrated his son LeBron James Jr., aka Bronny, after a special night honoring his senior high school basketball season at Sierra Canyon School in the Chatsworth neighborhood of greater Los Angeles, Calif., earlier this week.

The Los Angeles Lakers star posted a touching note to Instagram on Thursday after the 18-year-old attended his team’s Senior Night, which celebrates senior high school athletes ahead of their final home game of the season.

“So proud of the young man you’ve become @bronny!!” James wrote in the caption of the post. “Yesterday, we celebrated you for the seniors’ evening! I can’t believe how fast time flies but at the same time, I didn’t take 1 second for granted to be your father! I love you, baby!”

He continued, “Keep leading, be an example to/for your siblings/peers, and most importantly, just keep being YOU!!!!”

James posted a slideshow of photos from the night that featured him with his wife Savannah James, Bronny and their two other children: Bryce, 15, and Zhuri, 8.

Bronny’s siblings can be seen in a photo holding large cutouts of the high schooler’s head when he was younger. Bryce, a sophomore, plays on the same team as Bronny.

James has publicly stated his desire to one day play in the NBA with Bronny on several occasions.

When a Twitter user asked him in May if he was still planning to star alongside his son, James responded“That’s the plan! God willing.”
