Marco Silva becomes latest manager to distance himself from Tottenham rumors with ‘happy’ Fulham boss

Fulham have exceeded all expectations this campaign and are heading into the weekend seventh in the table, just three points behind fifth-placed Liverpool.
Last season Silva guided Fulham to promotion from the Championship and they have shown no signs of slowing down in the top flight, having bounced back and forth between the two divisions in recent years.
Silva has been linked with a move elsewhere following his success with the Cottagers amid rumors that Antonio Conte’s job at Tottenham will soon become available.
“I will not comment on that. Coaches, players, we can’t control what people write. I will not comment,” the Fulham boss said.
“You know my contract. I have this season and another year on my contract at this club. I’m really happy here. I will not comment on that.
Fulham will be without key midfielder Joao Palhinha for the visit to Arsenal as they serve Game 2 of a two-game ban after receiving 10 yellow cards during the season.
The Portugal international has impressed since his £20m move from Sporting CP in the summer and his success in the top flight has seen him linked with a move from Craven Cottage. However, Silva said he wasted no time thinking about his midfielder’s future.
He added: “He is happy here. Like before, it’s the same with players and managers, it’s impossible to control what people write. If managers or players are linked to clubs, or if there is interest.
“To be honest, it’s something we don’t waste time thinking about in these situations. With Joao, it’s the same.
