Shane Co. will pay you $1,500 to go on 15 first dates
Tired of having awkward first dates? Maybe money will motivate you.
Shane Co. offers to pay a reluctant romantic $1,500 to go on 15 first dates and document it for the jewelry company.
“We know it takes a lot of courage to put your heart on the line and try your luck with someone new,” Shane Co. said in a press release. “On the other hand, this could be the start of many beautiful times to come.”
To be considered for the position, candidates must be single (cheaters are not allowed) and able to find their own dates on dating apps, in grocery stores or elsewhere. They don’t all have to be strangers, but they have to be 15 different people.
For safety reasons, Shane Co. suggests that first dates take place in public places with buddy systems and backup plans to prepare for any situation.
The person chosen for the position must be at least 18 years old and willing to document each date by taking a photo and completing a worksheet detailing the experience. Yes, Shane Co. wants you to spill the tea!
“If the winner has a unique and budding love story to share and would like to share it publicly, we would be delighted to feature their story on The Loupe, Shane Co.’s blog,” said Johnray Strickland, Chief Digital Marketing Officer of the jeweler, to CNN.
To apply, submit an online application by February 10. The winner will be announced on February 27 and will have five months to complete the dates.
“Shane Co. is in the love business,” Strickland said. “We love romance and are happy to provide a fun way for people to go on dates and maybe even find their person.”
