‘Somebody’s been knocked out’ – New details emerge from Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler clash as tension mounts in The Ultimate Fighter
The competitive nature of Conor McGregor and Michael Chandler was on full display during the filming of The Ultimate Fighter.
The pair are currently in Las Vegas filming the final season of the reality show, before facing off in the Octagon later this year.
McGregor is usually a volatile character, so it’s no surprise that UFC President Dana White revealed that “a lot of shit happened” during filming.
“Chandler and Conor were very respectful to each other and then some things started to get worse that you’ll see on the show,” White said at the post-fight press conference for the UFC 285.
“They don’t like each other now, there was a lot of bullshit on Friday. I don’t look at stuff that’s good for the show or things like that. What has to happen will happen.
“Things that just happened shouldn’t have happened and I’m getting old, boys. I am getting old.
“I would have been in there earlier then, but not well… There was a lot of bullshit that went down on Friday.”
Now a Sports Illustrated reporter Amy Kaplan shed some light on the incident, writing on Twitter, “Here’s what I learned about the ‘McGregor-Chandler incident’ that Dana was alluding to on Saturday.

“Apparently someone got knocked out and McGregor jumped into the cage, pushed Chandler, someone got slapped and teams rushed into the cage. NSAC broke up.
That being said, McGregor didn’t really have a hard time saying about Chandler, as he previously told The Mac Life, “I love Michael, we’re guys.
“I posed with him yesterday. I have no problem with him. I think he’s a good fighter.
“It will be interesting to go against him (in the series) before facing him (in the fight).
McGregor, meanwhile, was named among the highest-paid athletes of all time by a recent list.
The Dubliner was placed at No. 33 with estimated earnings of $615 million.
