It was said that Naomi threw caution to the wind and boasted that her brother would not rot in prison and should be released.

Although Naomi wanted to be treated as the Ooni’s wife, the police insisted on handling the matter on its merits without interference.

Setting the record straight, Adewale Adeyemi, a contractor and one of the petitioners who secured the arrest of the former wife of the Ooni, explained that he was contracted by Gbenro to supply sand for filling a project that the company of the Ooni was taking care.

Adewale substantiated his points with a petition letter written by his lawyer to the AIG, Ondo zone 17, Akure.

It reads in part: “It was the brief of our clients that the petitioner was approached by one serial crook Mr. Gbenro who bought 32 plots of land from our client free of charge and all our efforts to reach him turned out to be unsuccessful as who ran away. “

According to the petition and other reports, Gbenro fraudulently purchased the said land in the name of Ojaja Pan Africa Limited, but refused to pay the land owners.

It was learned that Gbenro, under the pretense of working for the Ooni, convinced the land owners including one Iya Eko, to release parcels of land for the project, and he allegedly got Iya Eko to issue him a receipt of N55million.

Meanwhile, the contractor, Mr. Adeyemi Adewale in another letter written to the Ondo State Police Commissioner, proposed that his life was threatened by Gbenro.

Similarly, an 85-year-old woman and head of the family Atibiti Faaye, popularly known as Iya Eko, also in a phone chat on Wednesday said she was allegedly cheated by Gbenro, as he failed to pay Its N20million, intended for the second. land bought from her.

Meanwhile, the former queen mother, Prophetess Ogunseyi took to Facebook to curse the enemies after her son’s ordeal. Already, the post has been dropped.
