There is only one man who can persuade Harry Kane to sign a new contract, says Tottenham pundit

That’s according to Darren Bent, the former Spurs striker who isn’t sure Kane really wants to leave the club after a saga over his future transfer two years ago.

The club’s top scorer is out of contract in 2024 and talks over a new deal are on hold until the summer.

In the meantime, Tottenham are wondering who will replace Antonio Conte this summer with standard sports reporting that Luis Enrique is the prime target when the Italian makes his seemingly inevitable exit.

However, Pochettino has been touted to return to the club and Bent believes that would lead to Kane staying put.

“I feel like we’ve been here before with Harry Kane,” he told talkSPORT.

“I don’t really see any burning ambition to leave. He did all that stuff with Man City, maybe he misbehaved, and we haven’t talked about it since.

“If Pochettino returns to Spurs, I think Kane signs a new contract.”
