Vivica A. Fox has revealed that she hasn’t spoken to Jada Pinkett Smith since she criticized the actress’ response to Will Smith’s Oscar slap.

Here’s everything you need to know.

Vivica A. Fox explains her side of the story

Vivica A. Fox recently spoke with People magazine at the premiere of The Great Wolf Pack: A Call to Adventure at Great Wolf Lodge. The event took place in Garden Grove, California on Tuesday.

In addition, during the interview, Fox admitted that she did not contact Jada Pinkett Smith after calling her.

Regardless, it looks like Fox harbors no ill feelings towards Jada Pinkett Smith’s husband, Will Smith.

She said, ‘I think they’re just really going through a healing season right now.’

The 58-year-old actress added, ‘Listen, I love Will Smith. He is one of my favorite people on the planet. We all make mistakes. If there’s one person who deserves a second chance, it’s him. I think he has taken full responsibility for his actions and apologized.’

She concluded her response with, ‘I just hope that we can all move on from the incident and learn that it should never happen again, especially on that magnitude of a stage.’

Vivica A. Fox chastised Jada Pinkett Smith’s acting

Vivica A. Fox made headlines when she appeared on The Wendy Williams Show back in June.

During the episode, the South Bend native tearfully responded to Jada Pinkett Smith’s statement about the incident.

Fox claimed, ‘I just wish we could have a little more accountability and not seem so self-righteous on Jada’s part, and that’s my feelings.’

If you didn’t know, Jada addressed her husband’s actions during the Red Table Talk earlier in June.

The Daytime Emmy Award winner said at the time, ‘My deepest hope is that these two smart and capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk about this and reconcile. With the state of the world today, we need them both.’

Meanwhile, Will Smith shocked the world when he slapped presenter Chris Rock at the Oscars ceremony held on March 27, 2022. However, later that evening he went on to win the Best Actor for his role in King Richard.

After the incident, the Men in Black actor received a lot of backlash. He was banned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for the next ten years.
