Gustavo Arnal was the chief financial officer of Bed Bath & Beyond. Bed Bath & Beyond is a chain of home goods retail stores that operates many stores in the United States, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
He died on Friday after falling from a skyscraper in Manhattan’s Tribeca neighborhood. Gustavo was 52 years old. He was pronounced dead at the scene by medical officers. The cause of death will be determined by the New York City Medical Examiner’s Office, according to police, who said an investigation was underway.
Arnal was a married man and he and his wife, Alexandra Cadenas Arnal, had been together for about 28 years. They both had two beautiful daughters who are now adults. The allegations say that when he took his wife, his wife and children were at their residence in New York City.
Furthermore, before ending his life by falling from the 18th story of the Jenga Tower in the Tribeca neighborhood of lower Manhattan, he left neither a message nor a word for his wife. The last time he saw his wife, they were reportedly leaving their apartment to make funeral plans.

However, his passing occurred days after Bed Bath & Beyond revealed intentions to liquidate approximately 150 stores and reduce its employees, and was the subject of insider trading and a fraud case just before his passing. Bed Bath & Beyond recently experienced turmoil. Gustavo is listed as one of the defendants in a class action lawsuit brought by several shareholders who claim they lost more than $1.2 billion as a result of Arnal and the company’s largest shareholder Ryan Cohen engaging in a “scam and dump” which cost shareholders more than $1 billion.
