‘You’re not the draw you think you are’

Boxing promoter Eddie Hearn was quick to slam Tyson Fury as negotiations for his undisputed fight with Oleksandr Usyk stall.
Fury and Usyk are set to face off on April 29 at an unconfirmed venue in the UK, but so far no deal has been signed.
There has been a recent delay in the talks and time is running out regarding the fight which is to be announced soon if it will actually happen.
Originally, the promoters had hoped for the fight to take place in the Middle East, but when they were unable to do so, the amount of money available for the fight dwindled dramatically.
This meant Fury’s team wanted to renegotiate the purse split considering him the biggest draw in the UK, but now negotiations are at an impasse.
The latest update came as Usyk promoter Alex Krassyuk told talkSPORT Fury he had rejected his latest offer of a 60/40 split to the winner of the fight.
When Matchroom promoter Hearn was asked about the situation, he immediately pointed out that his client, Anthony Joshua, had fought Usyk twice without any issues in the negotiations.
Hearn told IFL TV: “”Anthony Joshua fought Oleksandr Usyk back to back, no f****** problems, no questions, no long negotiations.
“When are you going to start to understand…”
Giving his best impression of Fury, Hearn continued: “‘It’s not about the money, I’ll fight him for free, as long as the tickets are free to the general public. “
“Fuck you. You want money, you want too much money, you’re not the draw you think you are, this fight isn’t as important as you think.
Hearn went on to say, “Greed, if you’re on the legacy, if you want to go unchallenged, then you fight.
“Oh, so you’re going to get £50m or £60m, instead of the £80m or £100m or £125m you asked for. F*** me, you’ve all been played for all these years.
When asked if he thinks the Fury vs. Usyk fight will actually happen, Hearn replied: “Maybe, but if you really want the fight you have to make concessions…
“Tyson Fury is worth more than 50/50 in this fight, but if you want to be the first undisputed world heavyweight champion since Lennox Lewis, then you take it 50/50 and finish the fight.
“And, if he’s a little average, if he’s not good, then easy money. But, he knows how good Oleksandr Usyk is…
“When are you going to f****** wake up… some people care about legacy and some people don’t care about legacy.”
Fury last fought in December, easily beating Derek Chisora in their third fight and was recently spotted in brother Tommy’s corner for his fight against Jake Paul.
